e-Management announced today that the company has been re-appraised at the CMMI® -DEV Managed Maturity Level (2). CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute’s approach to process improvement. The Managed Maturity Level (or Level 2) indicates that a company manages project requirements and that processes are followed to manage projects from inception; -DEV refers to the development process areas for providing products and services. e-Management was first appraised in 2008.

e-Management enters Fiscal Year 2012 hiring for open positions
e-Management has kicked off the federal government’s fiscal year 2012 hiring for several open career positions. The majority of the positions are at government sites. Positions include: Information Security Continuous Monitoring Lead; Software Development Manager; Business Analyst; Java Developer; Sr. Java Developer; Penetration Tester; Jr. Continuous Monitoring Analyst; Security Analyst; Livelink Records Management Administrator; Enterprise Architect Analyst; and Records Management Project Manager.

e-Management kicked off its fifth year as a pledge driver for ENERGY STAR®’s Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR campaign. Each year, the company has met or exceeded their goals. Last year, the company exceeded its goal by 56 percent. ENERGY STAR is a joint effort of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.

e-Management kicks off new blog series highlighting government and people
e-Management announced today that it plans to kick off a blog series highlighting the stories of government and its impact on people. The new series starts this October, at the beginning of the government fiscal year, and concludes in January 2012. The Smithsonian Institution will be the first to get the e-Management “government and people” spotlight.

e-Management participates in NASA Information Technology Summit
e Management staff and executives are attending the 2nd Annual NASA IT (Information Technology) Summit in San Francisco, Calif., beginning today through Wednesday, August 17, 2011. NASA’s Chief Information Officer Linda Cureton will host the event. More than 100 speakers will present themes on “collaboration, social networking, innovation, infrastructure, operations, and IT security and privacy,” according to the NASA IT Summit website. NASA expects 2,000 participants from federal, industry, and academia IT community.

e-Management awarded GSA’s 8(a) STARS II contract in Constellation I and Constellation II
e-Management announced today that it was awarded GSA’s 8(a) STARS II (Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services) government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC). The GWAC consists of four functional areas (FA1, FA2, FA3, and FA4) in each of the two constellations (CA). e-Management was awarded all four FAs in both constellations (CA I and CA II).

Indian Health Services (IHS) Upgrades to New Version of eGov RPM from e-Management
e-Management today announces that the Indian Health Service (IHS) becomes the first federal agency to adopt the latest version of the company’s risk management flagship product, eGov Risk Portfolio Management™ (eGov RPM). Version 4 (V4) includes 17 new enhancements and features that Version 3 users requested. New features include enhancements to the Risk Management, Security Planning, Reporting, and Administration modules such as a new menu interface, which provides users with 30 percent more view screen space as well as triggers that notify users when additional risk analyses are needed.

e-Management awarded contract with the FAA
e-Management announced today that it was awarded the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Master Ordering Agreement (MOA), eFAST (Electronic FAA Accelerated and Simplified Tasks). eFAST is for small businesses, including woman-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned, and 8(a) companies. The scope of the MOA includes technical, engineering, and scientific services; professional, management and administrative services; advisory and assistance services; and major systems support. e-Management’s award was under two Functional Areas (FAs), Computer/Information Systems Development and Computer Systems Support. The FAs include services such as information assurance, enterprise architecture, network analysis and design, website analysis, computer system analysis, database administration, software engineering, and network maintenance and operations. The MOA is for 5 years.

e-Management awarded multi-year contract with Department of Energy
e-Management was awarded a multi-year contract today to support the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (EM), Office of Technical and Regulatory Support, Office of Public and Intergovernmental Accountability (OPIA). Under this information technology support contract, e-Management will help “EM OPIA’s public participation and outreach efforts, to collect and disseminate program information, and to facilitate innovative interaction with stakeholders.” The new contract has a 2-year base with three 1-year options.

e-Management exceeds ENERGY STAR campaign annual goal by 56 percent
e-Management today announced the firm has improved on its commitment to the Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR campaign. The company exceeded its 2010-2011 campaign goal by 56 percent. e-Management’s annual goal is 242,080 pounds (lbs) of greenhouse gas (ghgs) emissions. At 368,211 lbs of ghgs, e-Management staff has saved 201,392 kilowatt hours (kWh); 445,320,407 British thermal units (BTUs); or $28,681 over the past 12 months.

e-Management helps DOE save $300M
During a session at the Department of Energy (DOE) Information Management Conference (IMC) in Las Vegas, it was revealed that e-Management’s government risk management software, eGov Risk Portfolio Manager™ (eGov RPM), helped DOE save $300M in contingency reserves for the Office of Environmental Management’s (EM’s) American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding. As a result, those funds can now be used to support other critical mission activities.

e-Management’s cyber security awareness training team, comprised of Mr. Dennis Duquette and Mr. Haywood McDowell, will receive the Cyber Security Training and Awareness Achievement Team Award for 2011 from the Department of Energy's (DOE’s) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and the Cyber Security Achievement Award Committee. The award recognizes “creative and innovative efforts to significantly improve in a cost effective manner the cyber security training and awareness capability within the Office of Environmental Management (EM).”
