8(a) STARS (Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources
for Services) contract vehicle, formerly known as FAST
2 (Federal Acquisition Services for Technology), is
a government- wide acquisition contract and replaces
the original FAST contract that expired Oct. 31, 2004.
The new contract, effective June 2004 includes
a 3-year base with two, 2-year options for a total contract
period of seven years.

Contract Terms
The 8(a) STARS contract term is a base period of three
years with two, 2-year option periods, effective June
1, 2004. Individual task order(s) will determine the
period of performance(s). Task orders may be issued
as Fixed Price, Labor Hour, or Time & Materials.
